Chandler Center For The Arts
Chandler Center for the Arts provides educational workshops, master classes and performances for students, teachers, local musicians, and active adult communities each year. Chandler Center for the Arts is committed to making theatre, music, dance and other performing arts activities available to students through this program. Theatre Kidz is just one of the many creative ways Chandler Center for the Arts gives back to our community.
Childs Play
Founded in 1977, Childsplay is a nationally and internationally respected professional theatre company whose chosen audience is children. At Childsplay we believe that young people deserve to experience challenging, thought-provoking theatre of the highest artistic quality. Our respect for children’s intelligence and creativity drives us to produce new and innovative works by theatre’s finest artists. Equally, our understanding of the challenges facing Arizona’s classroom teachers leads us to offer arts education resources in 40 communities annually. In the past 36 years, we have educated and inspired more than four million young people and families. We have grown to serve an average annual audience of 200,000 students, teachers, and families.
Mesa Community College
Musical theater is a form of theater combining music, songs, spoken dialog, and dance. The varied emotional aspects of the production—humor, pathos, love, anger—as well as the story itself, are communicated through the words, music, dance, and staging of the entertainment as an integrated hole. MCC offers large-scale musical productions which are open to public audition and youth productions which are open to audition for actors ages 14-19.
